London Group Meeting Wednesday

February's main presentation
is Health & Safety for the Real World given by Malcolm
Tullett who is a risk taker.
The new venue is The Jewel, in Piccadilly - We're using the
Velvet 2 Function room on the second floor. The stairs are in
the front right hand corner as you go in the building. The Jewel
venue is on the edge of Piccadilly at the bottom of regents street
(east side), to the left of Barclay's Bank. Very conveniently
placed from the Piccadilly tube, right opposite the "regent
street east side" exit (exit1). Google Street view - it's the fancy building
next to the Samsung advert (now Barclay's). The
entrance is on the left, hidden by the red pedestrian light in
the foreground.
We have our own bar in the room with the food served there also,
so it will all take place in the one space allowing easy networking
before and after the main event.
The Jewel has a happy hour (or three) so come early and enjoy
50% off wine, £10 off champagne, £3.95 cocktails,
£4.50 champagne cocktails and £2.50 Staroprammen
Beer.

Crazy about Risk!
Malcolm Tullett, the sceptical adviser, is that rare thing, a
gamekeeper turned poacher and a maverick who believes that risk
management is about managing risk, not eliminating it.
He's passionate, controversial and down-right argumentative.
His message is focused on compliance being a profit generator
that is integrated into the core of the business as part of business
improvement processes.
If H&S can sound a bit 'dry', it needn't - Malcolm is a risk
taker! He has spent 20 years running into burning buildings
as a firefighter and investigating disasters as a senior officer
responsible for accident investigation. He's done 300 parachute
jumps and still rides a powerful motorbike, so it may seem obvious
that he is crazy about risk.
